“When I started working at T O’Regan & Sons in 1967, my current boss Kieran was just 3 months old. All the O’Regan family and the O’Callaghan family are a pleasure to work for. When I started working there first, I knew it was the job for me, it just clicked straight away. I loved sales. There was one great thing about it, going to different towns every day and also going to Cork City. Over the years I taught a lot of young people to drive and showed them how to sell chicken and eggs. My thanks to all the O’Regan family.”


At Shannon Vale Foods, we take great pride in our farmers and their dedication to delivering top-quality chicken. Our farmers follow strict quality control measures across all aspects of chicken farming. The facilities are constructed to the highest standards, ensuring ample space, proper heating, lighting, ventilation, and feeding systems for the chickens’ comfort.
Chicken farming is often a family-run business, with many of our farmers being second or third generation. In fact, some of our farmers have been raising chickens for over a century.
All poultry is sourced from our two company commercial sites or our 32 contract growing farms along with a further six contract sites dedicated to Free Range production. All of which are Bord Bia approved.
