Sustainability is at the core of all production levels in our group. We are committed to developing our business in a sustainable manner to play our part, ensuring that future generations can continue to produce quality food in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way.
Solar panels are installed at our processing plant as part of our transition towards net zero operations. Our recent integration of a 160 kWh roof-mounted solar PV system in our Newcastle West Plant and a 500 kWh system in our Clonakilty Plant solidify our dedication to reducing our carbon footprint in alignment with our sustainability goals.

Shannon Vale Foods are long standing members of REPAK. We monitor the recycling of all materials used on our site.
The shredded paper from our office is donated and is put to great use as bedding material for the cats and dogs. Used Vegetable Oil from our frying breading area is collected by our Supplier and recycled into biofuel to ensure no waste to landfill.
As part of our contribution to the circular economy, we supply waste products as feedstock on daily basis to a local Anaerobic Digester plant in Timoleague, West Cork. The partnership is proving very successful with Shannon Vale feedstock generating renewable energy while also producing organic fertiliser.
